Hello and welcome! This is an RP journal for Mary Lennox from the 1991 musical adaptation of The Secret Garden by Marsha Norman. As some of you may know, the musical is quite different from the book and the 1993 film most people are familiar with, so please be mindful of that. Mary's characterization is not much different, but she is just a touch more childlike and curious (don't worry, she doesn't lose her bark and bite, not even after her development as a character which is one of the many things I love so much about the musical) than she is in the book and the film. I try to stay true to the way Daisy Eagan portrayed her on Broadway, but there's also a bit of my own personal interpretation I got when I first read the musical's book before actually seeing a recording of the OBC in there as well. Mary is a very important character to me (as The Secret Garden itself is a very important show to me), so concrit on how I write her is appreciated, so long as it's polite (I'll make a How's My Driving? post at some point after I properly get to play her on here).
I am fairly new to the Livejournal/Dreamwidth RP scene, but I'm very excited to bring her over here and maybe get her signed up in a game. Thanks very much for reading.
